We are committed to minister to brothers and sisters in Christ, and non-believers as well, inside prisons, proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ, acknowledging the whole body of Christ, and encouraging the church to fulfill the Great Commission according to Matthew 25:36 “...I was in prison and you visited me…“

From Russ’s Heart—The 4 D’s That  Distract and Deceive Us!

Recently in our Wednesday men’s Link, Lunch and Learn Bible study I was reminded on things that Distract us from the mission and Deceive us in the mission He has called us to. Those 4 D’s are The Dame, the Dude, the Dollar and the Dictator of this world. We need not be deceived by the opposite sex,  the mean green, nor the evil spirits of humanity that desire to detour the lives of those who desire to obey the truth. Beloved, God has called you and I in these days we are living in to disciple the least of these, and evangelize the lost. We are learning in the book of Acts that the first church was empowered by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the gospel. In really wanting to proclaim His truth ask yourself; Am I being deceived by the Dame, The Dude, The Dollar, or the Dictator of this world? Has the Spirit of God convicted you in your prayer time to visit someone who is at a dead end and could use your help? You may feel that you are there. Yes, you are saved, however something you know is distracting and deceiving you.  If so allow the Lord to reveal in His Word how to …".Abstain from fleshly lust’s which war against your soul". 2 Pet 2:11 ; Lay up for yourselves riches in heaven… Matt. 6:20  … Test the spirits whether they be of God or not. 1 John. 4:1 You and I have a war going on the inside of us. Fleshly lust turns pure pleasure into perversion. Greed for the Dollar will rob you from your true riches here on earth and in heaven. The dictator of this world will cause you to disobey God in your  mission, and be ineffective with your message God  desires you personally to share with someone hurting. It is my prayer, that we as believers, give more honor and time to the mission He has called the church to. These 4 D’s that would try and distract and deceive you, will also try to disqualify you from the race God has called you to win. As a Child of God embrace the truth of God’s Word and place more priority and purpose on The Master, The Mission and The Message and not on the Dame, The Dude, The Dollar nor the Dictator of this world!
